To My Cousins,
My Aunt Jennie was simply the greatest. I can only imagine her warmly smiling. She was so comfortable with herself and her life, that she was at peace even around our chaotic greater family. In Aunt Jennie, Uncle Joe found his perfect match, someone who could roll with his fun-seeking, spontaneous and giant personality. She made it all more fun.
Our families spent so much time together, it seemed like one big party. My mother and father loved Aunt Jennie and Uncle Joe. They were all of a generation that had gone through the Great Depression and World War II. They had such an indomitable spirit, you could not stop them from enjoying life.
When my mother passed away, I spoke with Aunt Jennie. She said: "Georgie, believe me, it will never be the same again". Yes, Aunt Jennie, it will never be the same again.
Aunt Jennie, Thanks for Everything.
Nephew George
