Thaddeus Skarzynski 90 of East Haven and Southington passed away January 7, 2016 at Mulberry Gardens in Southington. He was born May 6, 1925 in Detroit to Bronislaw and Stella (Forburger) Skarzynski. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Wanda (Opalinski) Skarzynski (2008). Thaddeus is survived by three children; Patricia Mueller (Paul) of Hershey, PA, Robert Skarzynski (Lisa) of Guilford and Richard Skarzynski (Susan) of Southington. Thaddeus is also survived by five grandchildren, Maxwell, Ana, Aaron, Zachary and Julia Skarzynski. Thaddeus was a US Navy veteran of WWII and retired employee with over 42 years of service at C. Cowles & Co. in New Haven.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Sunday January 10, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 10:40 AM on Monday, January 11 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven with military honors.
