Obituary of Pascal Frank Lombardi
Please share a memory of Pascal to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pascal "Patsy" Frank Lombardi, 51, of New Haven passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2023. He was born February 25, 1972, in New Haven to Frank and Annick Lombardi. Pascal is survived by his mother, Annick “Bea” Lombardi, three siblings; Cynthia (Mark) Guarino, Philippe Lombardi (Cheryl Wallen) and Sandra Lombardi (DePonte), all of New Haven, along with his eight nieces and nephews whom he adored; Erika (Anthony) Grecco, Alyssa Guarino (Tom Walraven), Nicholas Guarino, Joseph Lombardi (Angela Cable), Isabella Lombardi, Alexa DePonte, Jimmy DePonte, and Natalia DePonte.
He is also survived by several aunts and uncles; Rocco and Diana Lombardi of Wallingford, Lysiane Deberge of Longues France, Yves Aubert of La Riche France, several cousins, especially Cristy (KiKi) Lombardi-Roberts, and his lifelong friends; Frank Arminio, Billy Gaetano, and Mark Gentile. He is predeceased by his father, Frank Lombardi, maternal and paternal grandparents.
A devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, Pat had a certain “je ne se quoi” that drew people to him. His infectious laugh, quick wit, and contagious personality made an everlasting impression. In Pat’s words, he was “hard-boiled” and lived life on his terms. Among his love for animals, his passions included creating one-of-a-kind paintings, fishing, trivia (where he frequently knew the answer before the question was completed), music (most notably Storm Large), and especially love for his country. He never missed an opportunity to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends.
Pat was a talented tradesman who possessed many skills. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. There was no job he couldn’t do; from roofing to painting to flooring - he did it all.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home located at 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 11 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, located at 385 Townsend Avenue, New Haven, with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations out to the New Haven Animal Shelter, 81 Fournier Street, New Haven, CT 06511, in memory of Pascal Frank Lombardi and his beloved dog, “The Great, Tremendous Brutus Remus.”
Fly high with the Angels, Pat. We love you; we miss you, and we will never forget you for one second of any day “OPA!”
