Obituary of Carol Piscitelli

Carol (Durazzo) Piscitelli 78 of East Haven passed away September 11, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 24, 1942 in New Haven to the late Carl and Anne (Onofrio) Durazzo. Carol is survived by her loving and devoted sister Gayle Alessandroni of East Haven with whom she lived. She is also survived by her Godchildren, many cousins and friends, whom she adored. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Stephen Alessandroni. Carol enjoyed trips to the casino, dancing, family card games, and her loving furry companions Charlie and Mia. Carol donated and was a member of many organizations and was very fond of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and local animal charities. She was employed by Temple Radiology and Yale New Haven Hospital for over 50 years. Family will receive mask wearing friends from 4 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15th at 11 A.M. in St Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Carol was a beautiful soul, both in and out; she will be missed by all.
