Conversations from the Heart written by Clifton DeVal Boyd (dedicated to Lionel Kenneth Boyd [Lump]) Now that U r gone n I'm left all alone I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid because of all that U taught me in thick n thin from the beginning to the end I WILL ALWAYS LOVE U! The later years were strained but the respect n love for each other always remained the same, even though we were in our neutral corners. I know it wasn't easy for U to see me actually do what U wanted me to. But life has a lot of strange twisted turns n unexpected bumps n life-shattering potholes that never seem to stop coming in some form or fashion. But, U taught me against those odds we must still overcome n prevail n against injustice we must forever rail n for whatever reason those defying winds left your sails because in your mind the struggle shouldn't be so hard. I don't fault U for it since survival is for the fittest people are going to do whatever it takes to make their life work even if it hurt others like U did me. U were my hero n it took me by surprise but the wisdom U instilled in me all those ingrained lessons about life itself made me wise n consciously aware of the truth if for nothing else. I LOVE U LUMP like u unquestionably did me we have a bond with each other 'til eternity. I hate to see U go but I don't question The Father's Will just sending U off with Serene Blessings as the sun sets behind the hill. Love U Brother!! Journey Well.

Eileen, Our condolences go out to you and the girls. When we were neighbors we were always impressed by how much decency and love you showed towards each other. Lionel seemed A strong but gentle man, full of a quiet humor. The love he had for and the pride he took in his family was evident. The world has been a better place for has having passed through. May you each find peace in your hearts in the memory of his love. Donna, Donny, and Glen.

I remember hood good times with Lionel "Lump" and Eileen. He was a caring, kind person and would put you in your place in a heart-beat! My thoughts and prayers go out to you all, especially Mrs. Alice Boyd, I know her heart is broken.
