Mr. Beichner, John, through the years I have often thought of Lynda. Although our years together were short in the grand scheme of things, those were probably some of the most influential years of my life. Lynda was such a positive role model for me and the respect and love I had for her was immense. When I think of her, I think of her smile and how her eyes smiled too. I think of how kind she was. She was fair and real. She’d always tell it like it is, especially when you needed to hear it the most. She taught me how to water ski and she modeled for me how to be the biggest cheerleader a mom could be for her kids. I often find myself saying things to my teenagers that Lynda would say. I’m so sorry that she is no longer with us. Please know that she leaves this earth as a proud mother and wife who knew as much love as she gave. -Heather

Lynda, John and Johnny rang our doorbell the first Sunday after we moved into our home on Wheeler Hill Drive in Durham. We had so much connection and they were our lifeline for the five years we lived there.
