Our deepest condolences to the Dayharsh Family, I have fond memories of Mr. Dayharsh growing up in East Haven (Deer Run, the Middle School and the Highschool). He was a great teacher and boy was he strict. Alot of us knew we were in trouble if we got called to his office lol lol. As an adult I had the highest respect for him and all he had done in the school system. He was a great man and will be missed by so many of us. God Bless to you all and hope you will find comfort in knowing how much he was loved by so many.
Sincerely
Kim Licciardi-Callahan & Family

So sorry for your loss, I had the pleasure of having Mr Dayharsh when I was young from deer run, East haven middle school and then EHHS , boy was I afraid of him and hoped I would never have to go to his office! And after many years later my to older children had him at Ferrara school and when I saw him after all those years he was the nicest person and I remember saying to him how afraid I was of u and he laughs and said y I’m a good guy and he was, I was glad to go to his office ! My god bless him and may he RIP

Gina and Jennifer,
I’m so sorry to see that Dad passed away. I’m glad I had a chance to see him and talk to him last November. We chatted about the old New Haven Blade games we used to attend and the madness of the old New Haven Arena. I’ll never forget that we used to listen to a dumb radio bit called “Chickenman.”
It was dumb but it made us laugh.
May he rest in peace

Thank you so much! I have great memories of times with my dad’s friendship with your family and playing with Diana and David. He loved your trips to Wilmington and felt like Chimney Hill was his home away from home. Thank you again for sharing and bringing back some real fond memories. Jen

Sending deepest sympathy. George and I were teachers and administrators in the East Haven School District. He seemed to have fought a long battle this time. After retirement my husband and I would often see him in Nick's Restaurant in Madison or Page's Hardware in Guilford . Places where many of us 'catch up' on where life has taken us since last we met. Rest in peace.
