Baldo “Bud” Forte, 88, of Milford, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019 atMilford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 16, 1931, in Laurel Hill, NY to Pasquale and Gena (Iannichino) Forte. Baldo is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Ann (Foote) Forte, and children: Thomas Violante (Cheryl) of New Haven, Sandra Schmauderer (Steve) of Berlin, Kaaren Violante of West Haven along with fourstep-children: Diane Shiel (Bill) of Waterbury, Ralph Ferrarese of Fairfield, Tom Ferrarese of Stratford and Cheryl Nickerson (Dave) of Seymour. Baldo is also survived by four grandchildren: Terri Orrell, Samantha Violante, Carissa Violante, Kimberly Look; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Haley Violante-Fletcher; and brother Andy Biagioni (Lynn) and sister Gloria Biagioni; nieces and nephews Bill Biagioni (Lisa), Paul Forte (Lori), Larry Forte (Rosalie), Gail Evarts (Dick), Lynn Esposito, Peggy Mien, Jean Stein, Lisa Sharog; grand-nieces Laurie Gloersen (Tom), Brianna Evarts and Katy Sharog; grand-nephews Michael and Brett Sharog, Nicholas and Taylor Biagioni, Marc and Jonathan Forte, and Ken and Jeffrey Forte; and cousins Anna Forte, Lee Falcone, Rudy Forte, Pino Forte and Jay Tracy. Baldo is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joseph Forte, Louis Forte, Louise Biagioni, Gloria Scafati and Ben Forte, and his first wife, Betty Jean Paparella Forte.
Bud attended Bullard Havens Technical School and earned certification as an electrician, having worked at several manufacturers in Fairfield and New Haven counties including Avco-Lycoming, Owens-Illinois Corporation and BIC Corporation. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving stateside in the 308th Bombardment Wing during the Korean War. He is a renowned champion bowler, having won the Connecticut State Seniors Tournament twice and bowled 4 perfect games of 300 and two 800 series while carrying an average in the high 200s. He was an avid fisherman and boater in the Milford area and taught many of his family members how to water ski. But most of all, he was the best Dad any of his children ever had and was the kindest, most generous person to all whom he met. He will be sorely missed by all.
