Ruth-Roland (Marquis) Coe, 92 longtime resident of Branford passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019 in Old Saybrook. She was born May 8, 1926 in New London to David and Elizabeth (Aubin) Marquis. Ruth is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Coe of Madison, two grandchildren, Margaret Coe (Justin Pepice) and Edward Coe along with two great grandchildren, Jackson and DeMaio Pepice. She is also survived by her sister, Estelle Quinn of East Haven, daughter-in-law, Jennie Coe of Middlebury and numerous nieces/nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Coe (2007), son, Russell Coe (2006) and her brother, Emile Marquis. She graduated from Hillhouse High School and Stone College. Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed painting, knitting and quilting.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service in Tabor Lutheran Church, 45 Tabor Drive, Branford with burial to follow at Tabor Cemetery, Branford.
