Obituary of Denise Fiasconaro

Denise "Nene" (Giaquinto) Fiasconaro, 62 of East Haven passed away peacefully Thursday, August 30, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Born a leap year baby, on February 29, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lonnie (Williams) Giaquinto. She will be remembered as a source of twisted humor by her family and friends. She will be remembered as a source of entertainment—no matter the lengths she had to go—by her many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a source of refuge and care by stray animals in all of the places she lived. As she joins the Communion of Saints, her family takes comfort knowing that she is at peace and that her memory will long outlast her time on this planet. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Pesko, and her brother, Andrew Giaquinto. She is survived by her brothers, Benjamin Giaquinto (Carol) of East Haven; Anthony Giaquinto (Ann Marie) of Texas; sisters, Barbara Giaquinto of Meriden; Toni Giaquinto of East Haven; and Theresa Balzano of South Carolina; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Donations may be made to the East Haven Animal shelter, 189 Commerce Street, East Haven CT 06512 in memory of Denise Fiasconaro.
