Obituary of Patricia Cretella

Patricia Cretella, 64 of Milford passed away August 21, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born April 17, 1954 in New Haven to the late Pasquale and Josephine (Console) Cretella. Patricia is survived by her companion of 16 years, Gary Takacs of Milford and his son, Eric Takacs, her loving sister, Antoinette Buccetti (Anthony) of East Haven and a brother, Pasquale Cretella (Donna) of East Haven along with three nephews, Christopher Cretella of Maryland, Bryan Cretella (Emily) of North Haven, Jeffrey Cretella (Rebecca) of East Haven, six great nieces/nephews, cousins and dear friend, John Blasczyk.

Patricia worked at St. Raphael’s Hospital as a nurse’s aide for a short time and retired from the US Postal Service with over 30 years of service finishing in the Milford office. She enjoyed her family and friends, especially her monthly gatherings with her “Cousins Club” and her annual gathering with her friends of the “MTA.”

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10 - 11:45 a.m. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven. Her funeral procession will leave the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 11:50 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
