Obituary of Rocco P. Mariano

Rocco P. Mariano 91 of New Haven passed away April 15, 2018 at CT Hospice. He was born January 17, 1927 in New Haven to William and Antoinette (Salzano) Mariano. Rocco is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Pasqualina (Esposito) Mariano and children; Antoinette “Toni” Mariano of New Haven, Rocco F. Mariano of New Haven, and Carol Wynne of New Haven along with three grandchildren, Jaclyn Wynne, Andrea Wynne and Rachel Wynne. Rocco is also survived by two sisters, Marie DiGuiseppe (Louis) of New Haven, Joann Cappella (William) of Hamden, numerous nieces/nephews and his pet dog, “Cupid.” Rocco was a US Army veteran, played football in the Annex and Bocce at Fort Hale. He was a partner with Acquarulo and Mariano Electrical Contractors, then later formed Mariano Electrical Contractors with his son.

The family would like to thank the VNA of Guilford, St. Raphael Campus: the staff of the Older Adults and Restorative Care floor, the MICU, and the staff of Hospice. 

The family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (TODAY), April 17, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. His funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18 at 10:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal and Military Honors to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
