Obituary of Gary R. Lucas

Gary R. Lucas 65 of East Haven passed away April 8, 2018 at CT Hospice. He was born April 24, 1952 in New Haven to Willard and Bett (Beardsley) Lucas. Gary is survived by his children, Megan Harrison (Scott) of Guilford and Richard Sgrignari (Michael) of Wallingford, three grandchildren, Patrick, Bradley and Liam Harrison. Gary is also survived by siblings, David Lucas (Melanie) of West Simsbury, Lee Lucas Berman (Bruce) of Clinton, Paul Lucas (Susanne) of Kansas City along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was a proud member of the Local 435 Connecticut Laborers Union along with being an avid sports fan and player.  The family would like to thank the staff at CT Hospice and the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a memorial service on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11 AM at the Old Stone Church, 251 Main Street, East Haven. Burial will be private at East Lawn Cemetery. Funeral services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in memory of Gary Lucas.
