Obituary of Louis Hemstock
Louis V. Hemstock, 84 of East Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 3, 2018. He was born in New Haven on May 22, 1933, son of the late Clarence and Anna Hemstock, predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters and his former wife, Marlene Thomas Sym. Lou graduated from Wilbur Cross High School and was a truck driver for 35 years and a proud Steward of the Teamsters. He was an active parishioner of St. Clare Church and enjoyed spending time with friends at Our Oasis. Lou will best be remembered for his devotion to family and friends, his sense of humor, and as an honorable and loving person. Lou is survived by 3 daughters: Dawn Hemstock, Kim Hemstock-Cimino (John), Tracie Hemstock-Kondor (Rob); 6 grandchildren: Laura Ciarleglio, Ashley Rose, Alissa Brokelschen, Brian Brokelschen Jr., Shawn Kondor, and Jodie Kondor; and 5 great grandchildren: Olivia, Angelina, Tatiana, Luciano, and Savannah. Family will receive friends from 8 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven. His funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven..
