Judy,
Please accept my deepest sympathy to you and your family on George's passing. I will always remember him as a sweet, kind, gentle man and how happy he made children when he dressed up like Santa. Dr. Chioffi is in Florida right now but I will let him know when he returns. My prayers are with all of you.

Dear Mrs. Boucher and Family
At the age of three, I used to go forward to watch the streetcar motorman run the car. All my life, I would go out of my way to see a streetcar or ride on one. I really wished I could have driven one. Then, at the age of 70, George Boucher made it possible.
For a week in each of the past two Junes, I have worked with and gotten to know George. Early on, I asked him where Taylor Street was. He kind of smiled and said that Masses at St Vincent were at 4:30 Saturday and 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00 Sunday. I said , “Thanks.”
I will be back at East Haven again this June, but I will miss seeing George. He was friendly, firm and forgiving when you messed up. May he rest in peace, and may you remember all the good things.

To the Boucher Family--
My deepest sympathies to all of you. Every summer for close to 15 years, I fly to Connecticut with my buddy Bob and spend a week as a volunteer operator at the trolley museum. George was the reason I kept coming back, year after year. He always made me feel welcome, and he treated me like family.
I marvelled at his uncanny ability to get along with all of the volunteers, with their very different personalities and egos. George was always the coolest head in the room...he smoothed out the rough spots, he got the best out of all of us, and he kept things running at a very high level, no matter what problems or surprises came along.
But the story doesn't end there. George certainly loved the museum and the trolleys. But more than that, he truly loved people...and he especially loved the little children. George was a spiritual man who felt God's love and wanted to share it with others. I think he put on the Santa Claus suit every winter because he still believed in Santa himself, and he wanted to share the spirit of Christmas with as many kids as he could.
George, may God bless your good and kindly soul. I'll miss you terribly, and my annual visits to Connecticut will never be the same. But I'll remember all the good times...and I'll always be thankful that our paths crossed, even if it was only once a year, 800 miles from my home.

I am extremely saddened upon learning of George’s passing.
I always looked forward to “catching up” with George when I volunteered at the Museum. Shore Line Trolley Museum will not be the same without George.
I extend my sincere condolences to the family.
