In East Haven, March 17,2010, Dorothy Lillian Andrews Ellis, 90, a resident of
Laurel Woods , East Haven, formerly of Brown Rd., East Haven. Wife of the late
Irving Ellis. Mother of Audrey Kramer and husband Jack of Branford, Donna Coppola
and companion John Jenkin of East Haven, Howard Ellis of Spokane, WA and Brian Ellis
of Tolland. Sister of Lester Andrews of East Haven, Shirley Paule of New Haven and
Adrea Sturgess of Ansonia. Also survived by five grandchildren. Born Oct. 7,1919 in
New Haven a daughter of the late Harvey and Esther Doane Andrews, she was a graduate
of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and was employed for many years at
Pegnataro Food Market in New Haven and also worked for a time at A.C.Gilbert Co.
She was a member of the St. Lawrence Ladies Guild and the Atwater and East Shore
Senior Citizens.
Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,
43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Branford. Friends
may call Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00. Memorial contributions may be made to
CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
