Obituary of Jean Kelly Petrillo

Jean Kelly Petrillo, a lifelong resident of Robert Dr., in East Haven, passed away Nov. 18, 2009 at the age of 79. She was the beloved wife of Frank P. Petrillo. Born July 5, 1931 in East Haven a daughter of the late John and Catherine Madigan Kelly, Jean is also survived by her children, Frank Petrillo Jr. of Hamden, Barbara Petrillo Neal of East Haven and Michael (Nelly) Patrillo of Wallingford, her loving grandchildren, Tara (Joseph) Esposito, Alicia (Rodney) Norris, Tina Neal Buonfiglio, Daniel Petrillo, Isabella Petrillo, Sophia Petrillo and Joseph Petrillo, six great•- grandchildren, a brother John Kelly of Westbrook, a sister Rita St. Jacques of East Haven and many friends and family. Jean was married to Frank in 1949 and they shared sixty wonderful years raising their family in East Haven, enjoying over twenty years vacationing in Siesta Key, FL. She had strong Irish roots, her mother, a native of County Claire, Ireland, traveled to the United States as a young girl. Her strong Irish wit was key in making her a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She has been here for us from the beginning. So to not have her will leave a gaping hole. She will live on in our hearts forever. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd; Branford, CT 06405. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
