Obituary of Jean Criscuolo

Virginia “Jean” (Scopetta) Criscuolo 90 of East Haven passed away peacefully on January 11, 2018 at Apple Rehab. She was born August 27, 1927 in New Haven to the late Salvatore and Nancy (Mariano) Scopetta. She was the wife of the late Louis Criscuolo. Jean is survived by her three loving daughters, Anna D’Amato of Middletown, Nancy DelGiudice (Ernest) of East Haven and Louise Melotto (Thomas) of East Haven. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jean was an avid reader, loved to knit, shop and play Nintendo. She was truly devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved watching tennis, QVC, and the Yankees. She played bridge for many years and was a good friend to all who knew her. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10:40 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven. Her funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 10:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven, with committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. The Criscuolo family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab, especially her nurses Christine, Amanda, Idis and Sharmaine, her Hospice Aide for their kind and compassionate care and to her sister-in-law Betty Ciaburri for her constant love and companionship.
