Anthony Vecchio 37 of East Haven passed away December 1, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital after battling a long illness. He was born April 14, 1980 in New Haven to Vincent Vecchio and Marjorie Cancel. Anthony is survived by his parents, loving wife of 8 years, Jennifer (Ruggiero) Vecchio of East Haven and four siblings, Ronald Vecchio, Vincent Vecchio, Tiffany Cancel and Alana Cancel. Anthony is also survived by his nephew, Michael Vecchio, grandmother, Anne Gentile, in-laws, Andy and Rosa (Camputaro) Ruggiero and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Ruggiero. Anthony and Jennifer have been inseparable for the last 15 years. Anthony worked in the HVAC industry for the past 20 years and was known for his smile and kind soul. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial services will be private.
