Lisa, John, and Mr. Martorella –
While I may be here in Los Angeles, I want you to know that my heart is with all of you in Connecticut. When I got word that Mrs. M passed, I was truly heartbroken and haven’t been able to stop thinking of what great times we all shared, how much it meant to me that she made me feel like a part of her family, and what a wonderful woman I think she was. I’ve encountered very few people in my life that are as kind and generous as Mrs. M.
Lisa, I hope you know how your mom always made me feel so special. She’d joke with me, make those amazing pork chops (and a glass of her iced tea!) and sit out on the back porch with us with Aunt Rose and Freshie. I sometimes wish life could allow us all to go back for a few days and do that all over again. The laughs and talks probably helped mold me into the person that was able to make leaps in life and do it while laughing. Your mom had a great laugh.
While I can’t be with you right now, please know that I’m thinking of your whole family and if you ever want to get in touch, to talk, reminisce, or just need anything, please don’t hesitate.
My deepest sympathy to all of you.
Love,
Jamie French
