Obituary of Joanna Jean Fedele

Joanna Jean (Ciesluk) Fedele 80 of Guilford passed away peacefully at CT Hospice on September 2, 2017. She was born April 13, 1937 in Philadelphia to Edward and Jennie (Jakubielski) Ciesluk. Joanna is survived by her three loving and caring daughters, Susan Bass (David) of Hamden, Bonnie Bruciati (Edward) of Madison and Joanna Breunig (Robert) of Shelton along with six grandchildren, Samuel Bass, Matthew Bruciati, Jennifer Bruciati, Megan Breunig, Cole Breunig and Riley Breunig. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Fedele (1986). Joan was an avid artist, reader, writer, and choral singer who left an impression on everyone she met. Her final five years at the Gables were among the most peaceful of her life. While there she revisited her writing and kindled new friendships. Above all, she loved her family deeply and she adored visits with her grandchildren and extended family. Her daughters successes were her successes and she reveled in their accomplishments. She will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 8 at 10:30 AM at St. George Catholic Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford with Committal to follow at Alderbrook Cemetery, Guilford.
