Obituary of Sandra Quarequio

Sandra Quarequio, 71, of New Haven passed away August 30, 2017 following a sudden illness. Sandra was born September 11, 1945 in New Haven to Frank and Catherine (Fuggi) Parrett. Sandra is survived by two sons, Ralph and Ricky Quarequio, and Ricky’s Wife, Diana, who Sandra considered her daughter, a granddaughter, Larissa Quarequio and a great grandchild. Sandra is also survived by seven siblings, Frank “Juni” Parrett Jr., Dolores Brandi, Robert Parrett (Anita), Charles Parrett (Betty), Thomas Parrett (Jeanette), Joseph Parrett (Ellen) and Edward Parrette (Carmel), along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Quarequio (2012) and sister, Judith Fanelli. Sandra worked as a seamstress for Resse, specializing in the making of silk ties. She later worked for Echlin Corporation until the time of their relocation. Sandra was also an advent dog lover, being an active member of both the Humane Society and ASPCA, and kept many dogs throughout her life. The last of these was Macleoud of the Highlands, a Cairn terrier. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven. Burial will be private.
