Obituary of Matilda Lawlor

In Branford, Oct. 4, 2009, Matilda S “Til" Reynolds Lawlor, 82, of Oakdale Place, Branford. Wife of Harry Lawlor and the late John Thomas Scanlon Sr. Mother of John Thomas ( Linda) Scanlon Jr. of Killingworth and the late Louise Mary Meyerjack. Grandmother of Kristen Meyerjack and Matthew Meyerjack, both of Cheshire and Meghan Scanlon and John Thomas Scanlon III, both of Cheshire. Sister of the late Charles A. I Reynolds, Frank J. Reynolds and Lewis H. Reynolds. Sister in law of Nancy Gallagher of Cheshire and Priscilla Reynolds of Wallingford. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born May 27, 1927 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Somers Reynolds, she was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and had been employed for several years with SNET in the dispersment accounts dept. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Branford and had been a member of the Coast Guard Auxillery. I I Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Thursday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Branford at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm.
