Bonnie, our hearts are broken. We were so close to the reunion, this Spring, that we so looked forward to. Could it be so long ago that we would all get together at Otis. party together, and listen to you both sing and play for us? As I recall you and Randy were one of the first of our crew to have a baby. (A novel and fun thing back then in itself.) You were the prettiest, and Randy, the funniest, and most talented of us all. They are memories that will never ever fade. May God hold my friend close, and keep him safe for eternity. Bless you Bonnie, Lindsay, and Jennifer. With love, our thought are with you.

This news is a complete shock to me and very sad. I saw Randy last spring at our 50th reunion, for the first time in many years, but it was as if I had seen him just the week before. We spent a lot of time together in "our formative years", and when I saw him last spring he seemed to be the same person - only better. It is Sunday afternoon, and I am just catching up on the obituaries so have missed the opportunity attend the service and personally express my condolences to Bonnie and the rest of the family. But I will miss the man who was one of the true characters (I mean that in the best of ways) in our class.

Bonnie -- I was a classmate and friend of Randy's at Hopkins and later in life, especially after college when he was working with Dewey at Connecticut Motor Club and I was at The New Haven Register. We would get together every now and then in the intervening years; I always enjoyed his company and laughing with him. He seemed to refreshingly find humor and wit in the mundane and the ludicrous. I was sorry not to see him at our 50th Hopkins reunion and regret that that I will be unable to attend the service on Sunday. Randy was a good man with a warm and generous outlook on life and I don't think I ever heard anyone ever say an unkind thing about him. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Ed Woodyard

Bonnie, Lindsay and Jennifer, I am so, so very sorry for your loss. Randy was adored by so very many people. I remember my interview with him at AAA 30 years ago when I was fresh out of school. The twinkle in his eyes and the kindness in his heart. The old crew had a lot of fun with him. He will be deeply missed. Lots of prayers and hugs to you all. Kiki
