Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joseph Kaszowski, 59 of East Haven passed away at home on April 4, 2017. He was born December 14, 1957 in Manchester, CT, to the late Walter and Philomena (Lupachino) Kaszowski. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Melissa Braver and his three brothers, John Kaszowski (Donna), Anthony Kaszowski, Michael Kaszowski and a sister, Marie Kaszowski. Joseph is also survived by his in-laws, John Sr. and Janice (Baiocchi) Braver of East Haven, brothers-in-law, John Braver III (Jacci) of East Haven, Chris Braver (Nicole) of East Haven and two beloved nieces, Brianna and Mackenzye Braver. Joe’s career started at Frank’s grocery store in Manchester, CT. While working retail, Joe joined the National Guard and served for 6 years. He continued his career in retail until he became a business owner with a Pepperidge Farm route. He then sold his business and went back to working retail which he loved. He began at Waldbaum’s and then worked for T & J where he met the love of his life Melissa Braver. Joe then went on to working for Big Y for 10 years before joining and working for Family Care Plus and also Uber. He was a very hard working man which made him a successful business man. He and his wife opened their own business, "This and That" in which Melissa will carry on in his honor. When Joe was young, he cared for his ill mother until her departure. Being the oldest he took on the joy of caring for his younger siblings John, Michael, Anthony and Marie along with his father. On weekends you could find Joe enjoying his family and his cherished nieces, Brianna and Mackenzye. They loved to dance with their uncle, go apple picking, have picnics in the backyard and play on the playscape and also going shopping. Joe loved to go anywhere with his girls, he was their superman. When he wasn’t with his family you could find him on the golf course with his friends and their yearly golf tournaments with Elm City or St. Bernadette’s Church. He also enjoyed going to lunch with his best friend Juan Baez. He had a passion for food, he and his sister-in-law Nicole were always the last ones at the dinner table, especially on holidays. If anyone ever got the pleasure of meeting Joe he would leave the biggest impression on their heart. Words cannot describe what a wonderful kind soul he was. He always had a smile on his face that could light up the room turning anyone’s bad day into a ray of sunshine especially his wife Melissa. He was the best husband anyone could ask for he went above and beyond to make her happy. He showed her how to love unconditionally never asking or expecting anything in return. You will truly be missed; we will carry on our traditions with you here in our hearts. Family will receive friends from 2 – 5 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
