Please share a memory of Jeannine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeannine A. (L’Heureux) Levesque of East Haven, formerly of Hamden, North Haven and Norwalk, passed away Sunday March 26, 2017. Jeannine volunteered for many years at Clintonville School in North Haven in order to “keep an eye on her children.” She later became employed there as a teacher’s aide because she “loved to be around all those little kids.” Jeannine was blessed to be part of the close knit neighborhood of Surrey Hills which was known for its many pot luck dinners, picnics and friends who became family. Jeannine had a love of cooking, crafts and of song; her rendition of “Allouette” was a true crowd-pleaser. She was a woman of faith, and was a founding parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic church in North Haven. Later while living at Mariner’s Point in East Haven, she helped support the faith community there by assisting with the celebration of the mass and leading the rosary devotion. Jeannine is survived by son Marc and his wife Stefania of Wallingford, son Andrew of Watertown; daughter Lisa (Rooney) and her husband Brian of Bristol; grandchildren Alyssa, Noah, Hannah and Lauren; and sister Micheline. She is predeceased by her husband Frederick; parents, brothers and sisters; and a grandson Zachary. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 11:00AM in St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. Services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home) East Haven. She will be greatly missed by all. Goodbye, farewell, au revoir.
