Sharon R. (Sullivan) Germe 70 of East Haven, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was born November 8, 1946 in New Haven to Edward and Catherine (Flynn) Sullivan. Sharon is survived by her two loving daughters, Danielle Germe of East Haven and Nicole Germe of East Haven along with one grandson, Michael Spisak. Sharon is also survived by her two brothers, Donald Sullivan (Patricia) of St. Louis and Edward Sullivan of Orange and several nieces/nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Raymond Spisak and sisters, Virginia Balog and Barbara Maturo. Sharon was a beautiful woman inside and out; she took great pride in herself. She was a loyal friend who was warm hearted and very generous. She was known for her wit of humor and loved telling stories. She was in avid reader and had a great love for movies. Sharon graduated from Gateway Community College with an Associate Degree in Science with Business Administration. She began her career in 1980 at the West Haven VA Hospital and continued as an administrative assistant at Bayer Pharmaceutical and later retired from Metro North Railroad in 2000. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4 PM until the time of service at 7 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford CT 06405 in memory of Sharon Rose Germe.
