Joseph LaChat 75 of New Haven passed away January 31, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born July 29, 1941 in New Haven to William and Justine (Vergato) LaChat. Joseph is survived by two loving daughters, Sherry LaChat of New Haven and Denise LaChat (companion Michael Boughton) of New Haven along with five grandchildren, Kevin Michael Gallogly, Johnny Gallogly, Justin Gallogly, Joseph LaChat and Julia Boughton. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, former wife, Maureen Southwick of New Haven and a brother, Arthur LaChat of North Haven. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert LaChat.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 9:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, East Haven. Committal will be private. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
