Obituary of Paul Giaquinto

Paul Giaquinto 95 of East Haven passed away January 21, 2017 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven. He was born June 1, 1921 in New Haven to Michael and Marzia (Romano) Giaquinto. Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Muriel Austine (Garrison) Giaquinto and two children, Donna Giaquinto of East Haven and Keith Giaquinto of Holiday Fl and East Haven, CT. Paul is also survived by his brother, Robert Giaquinto (Ginny) of Springfield, MA and sister, Annette Occhipinti (widow of Joseph) of West Haven along with many nieces/nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carmela “Mina” Delellis. Paul was a beloved husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend. He worked for many years at the High Standard Mfg. in Hamden and Sikorsky Aircraft as a tool and die maker. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and boating, he even built his own boat. In his younger days, he played the bass with Morris Watstein Orchestra. He was a competitive pistol marksman winning several awards. His garden was his pride and joy, especially his “prize” tomatoes. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral service will be held at Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Friday, January 27 at 10:30 AM with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
