Obituary of Frances C. Anastasio

In Branford, Aug. 4, 2009, Frances C. Lang Anastasio, 67, of Prospect Place Ext., East Haven. Wife of Louis Anastasio Jr. Mother of Alicia (Jeffrey) Torello of Branford and Julie (Michael) DiVerniero of East Haven. Grandmother of Juliana and Olivia Torello and Ellyn and Aimee DiVerniero. Sister of Charles (Martha) Lang of East Haven, Julianna (Kenneth) Albert of East Haven and Christine (John) Sullo of Branford. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 28,1941 in New Haven a daughter of the late Frank and Julia O'Connor Lang, she was a graduate of East Haven High School and had been employed for several years by the SNET and also was a dental assistant for several area dentists. Frances was a longtime communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church and in her spare time had been a volunteer at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Her main focus in life was her family and she liked nothing better than cooking a great meal or having a party with lots of singing and dancing and she, also played the piano. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Saturday morning 8:30 Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:00. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
