Kathleen Durand 91 of East Haven passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016 at Apple Rehab. She was born April 25, 1925, in Fall River, MA to Morris and Catherine (Gillan) Martin. She is survived by four children, Thomas Durand (Barbara) of West Haven, Nancy Keyes (Thomas) of Killingworth, Donald Durand (Mary) of West Haven, David Durand (Brenda) of Florida and a daughter-in-law Joanne Durand of East Haven. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Reginald Durand (1972), son William Durand (2014), a brother Thomas Powers and granddaughter Christine Unger.
Kathleen loved to knit, crochet, and playing cards. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Family will receive friends from 2-5 pm on Sunday November 13, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Monday November 14th for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 355 Foxon Blvd (Route 80), East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Apple Rehab Laurelwood for their care of Kathleen.
