Obituary of Thomas H. Connelly

Thomas H. Connelly Jr. 69 of East Haven passed away October 22, 2016 at St. Raphael Campus. He was born May 6, 1947 in New Haven to Thomas Sr. and Margaret (Moran) Connelly. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pauline (Cichocki) Connelly and son, Thomas H. Connelly III of East Haven. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Connelly (Janice) of MA, sisters, Margaret Balon (Robert) of TX and Maureen Connelly of Plymouth CT, brother-in-law, Walter Cichocki of Milford and sister-in-law, Virginia O’Neill of East Haven along with numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Edwina Cichocki. Thomas graduated from Southern Connecticut State College. He went on to work for Spacecraft Manufacturing for 38 years as a Quality Control Manager. During his free time, Tom enjoyed coaching inner city boys in New Haven for Bishop Woods Little League, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle Leagues as well as later on sharing his expertise with his nieces and nephews. Tom was an avid dog lover raising several German Shepherds and was a devoted NY Yankee Fan, Thomas enjoyed all sports. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27 at 10:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven.
