Eleanor Mursko 99 of East Haven passed away peacefully on October 17, 2016. She was born July 7, 1917 in New Haven to Arthur and Emma (Madison) Asmus. She is survived by loving son, Edward Mursko of Watertown, six grandchildren, Laurin Hagy (Skip), Christopher Mursko, Edward Mursko (Elizabeth), Gregory Mursko (Dyan), Thomas Mursko Jr., Jennifer Shaw (Robert), two great grandchildren, Gwen Mursko and Robert Shaw Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Mursko of Madison. Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Mursko (1991), son Thomas Mursko (2010), and daughter-in-law, Eleanor Mursko (2012).
Eleanor enjoyed word puzzles and reading. She also liked to crochet and knit as a hobby for many years. She also won Blue Ribbons for her creations at local fairs and all of her family had warm blankets for the winters.
A private graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook, CT. Graveside service is under the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
