Obituary of David Edward Cantrell

David Edward Cantrell 56 of Milford, Ct. and Meriden, Ct. passed away October 14, 2016 at St. Raphael Campus in New Haven. He was born December 1, 1959 in Stamford to Kenneth E. Cantrell Jr. and Judith (Panella) Lamb. David is survived by his father Kenneth and Rose Cantrell of Wilton, Maine, sisters, Debra Prete and Anthony of East Haven, Ct. and Karen Garcia of New Fairfield, Ct. He is also survived by his step-father, Quentin Lamb of New Fairfield, Ct., former wife Leslie Cantrell of Danbury, Ct., along with step-siblings, Marion , Raymond , Catherine , Herbert , Donna , Tracy and Micki , a sister-in-law, Deborah Cantrell, brother-in-law, Roger Fregia and numerous nieces/nephews/cousins. David is preceded in death by his mother, Judith Lamb and siblings, Kenneth Cantrell III, Elizabeth Fregia, Eugene Morehouse, Jimmy Lamb and Dawn Lamb. David was a long time resident of Milford, Ct before moving to The Curtis Home in Meriden, CT in 2014. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at many holiday gatherings. He enjoyed taking long walks, playing with his family pets, baking and cooking but most of all David loved to sing Karaoke and would dress up in costumes and impersonate his favorite musician Elvis. The family would like to thank the numerous staff members at St Raphael Campus for the extraordinary empathetic care they provided to David as well as his family during his stay there. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM on Saturday October 22, 2016 in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 355 Foxon Rd. (Route 80), East Haven with Committal to follow at 12 PM (Noon) at Lakeview Cemetery, 352 Main Street, New Canaan, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind, 184 Windsor Ave., Windsor CT 06095 in memory of David Cantrell.
