Ruth (Hinckley) Farquharson 87 of East Haven passed away October 4, 2016 at CT Hospice. She was born November 4, 1928 in New Haven to William and Hazel (Doer) Hinckley. Ruth is survived by six loving children; Hazel LaNier (widow of Russell) of New Haven, James Farquharson (Wanda) of Derby, Sherry Farquharson (companion, Jerry Martin) of Killingworth, Wayne Farquharson (fiancé’ Tanya) of New Haven, Lance Farquharson (Debra) of New Haven and Tracy Viglione (companion, Brian Decoster) of New Haven. Ruth is also survived by 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces/nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Noreen Smith and grandson, Calvin Smith. Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven and again on Saturday, October 8 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
