Marion Smith 90 of East Haven passed away October 2, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was born April 20, 1926 in East Haven to Earnest and Florence (Hotchkiss) Tower. Marion is survived by two loving and caring sons, Raymond Smith (Judy) of East Haven and David Smith (Cindy) of East Haven along with three grandchildren who she cherished, Amie Smith (Joshua Mennone), Jade Smith and Rachel Smith. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond Smith (2004) and sister, Jeanne Robinson. Marion worked at Deer Run School and in the local banking industry. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, bowling, playing cards, watching UCONN women’s basketball and was a member of the Old Stone Church, East Haven.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven and again on Thursday October 6, from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30 AM in Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bare Plain Cemetery, North Branford. Donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford CT 06405 in memory of Marion Smith.
