John Fair 89 of East Haven passed away September 17, 2016 at Village at Mariner’s Point. He was born May 17, 1927 in Milford to John O. and Maude (Vincent) Fair. John is survived by daughter, April Gieparda, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother, Robert Fair (Joy) of North Branford and four nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Fair. John was with the 11th Airborne, US Army Paratroopers and a retired employee with over 20 years of service with Connecticut Department of Transportation. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Hamden Plains Cemetery, Hamden CT. Graveside services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
