Shirley (Buehler) Hamilton 90 of East Haven passed away surrounded by her daughters on August 22, 2016 at CT Hospice. She was born March 5, 1926 in West Haven to Walter and Josephine (Scharnhorst) Buehler. Shirley is survived by two loving daughters, Linda Boleky (Steven) of East Haven and Debra Amodio (Frank) of Wallingford along with five grandchildren who she adored, Stacey Hall, Melissa Karmazyn, Eric Amodio (Victoria), Keith Amodio, and Tiffany Amodio. Shirley is also survived by her three great grandchildren, Benjamin Hall, Ella Amodio and Dexter Amodio and her dog, “Rascal.” She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl Hamilton (2008) and three brothers, Ralph, Robert and Herbert Buehler. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid bingo player at Mariner’s Point where she resided for the last 10 years. She was a retired employee with over 30 years of service from the former First New Haven National Bank in East Haven. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven. Donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 in memory of Shirley Hamilton.
