Thomas Holland Sr. 82 of East Haven “Tom the bomb” passed away August 13, 2016 at home. He was born December 16, 1933 in New Haven to Daniel and Florence (Fusco) Holland. Thomas is survived by three loving children, Donna O’Connor Holland (Michael O’Connor) of East Haven, Gail Holland of East Haven and Thomas Holland Jr. of East Haven along with two grandchildren who he adored, Deidra O’Connor and Michael O’Connor. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marie (Nastri) Holland in 2009. Thomas was an avid Eagles fan who loved to watch sports, especially his grandchildren. He never missed a baseball or basketball game. Thomas retired from United Illuminating with over 42 years of service in 1994.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral on Wednesday, August 17 at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave, East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
