Dennis M. Mahoney, 45, of Woodward Ave., New Haven passed away June 2, 2009 after a long illness. He was the loving son of Bertha Barnes Mahoney and the late William Mahoney. Born Jan. 27, 1964 in New Haven he had served with the US Navy and had been employed as a patient coordinator with the Yale-New Haven Hospital Shoreline Clinic in Guilford. Besides his mother he leaves behind to cherish his memories brothers William Mahoney Jr. and Jeffrey Mahoney both of New Haven as well as his loving sister Noreen Virgulto, brother in law Jim, nephew Jimmy and niece Kelsey of Higganum. He also leaves behind many friends and family from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Florida.
Graveside service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3-6pm at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT, 06405.
