Obituary of Nicholas S. Corso

Nicholas S. Corso, 85, of New Haven passed away April 11, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born May 19, 1930 in New Haven to Nicola and Anna (Scalia) Corso. He is preceded in death by parents and the last survivor of six children; John Corso, Mary Forte, Salvatore Corso, Louis Corso and Lena Cretella. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia (Petrucci) Corso and cherished daughter, Catherine A. Corso of West Haven and a pet companion, “Lola.” His occupation started as a car and truck painter, at which he became an expert. He later retired from Fluid Controls in Hamden after 27 years of service building commercial A/C units. Nicholas was a wonderful husband and father; he was a “jack of all trades” and a few tricks too. A special thanks to his great nephew, Edward Forte and his wife Shirley and the nurses and staff at Yale New Haven Hospital for their compassion and support. Nicholas also leaves a son, Nicholas J. Corso. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven with private Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery. Funeral services are under the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham, East Haven.
