Janet Pemberton 92 of East Haven passed away March 22, 2016 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born July 6, 1923 in New Haven to Raymond and Edith Frey. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Pemberton, son Thomas Pemberton, grandson, Eric Pemberton, sister, Edith Johnson and brother, Roger Frey. Janet is survived by two sons, William M. Pemberton III and his wife, Patricia of East Haven and Richard Pemberton and his wife, Grace of East Haven and Venice, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, William M. Pemberton IV and his companion, Toni, Stacey Natale and her husband, Joe, Kimberly Pemberton, Susan Griffiths and her husband, Christopher, Amy Fulton, Jennifer Gilchrist and her husband, Keith, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces/nephews.
Janet was a retired employee of A&P Grocery Store and was an original member of the East Haven Homemakers. She enjoyed painting, reading and spending time with her family.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Whitneyville Cemetery, 1200 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Graveside memorial service is under the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven.
