Dorothy Prata 94 of East Haven passed away March 6, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born October 26, 1921 in New Haven to Thomas and Florence (Collins) Marino. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nicholas Prata and two sisters, Dolores and Constance. Dorothy is survived by her niece, Karen Marr (Gordon) of Virginia, great nephew, Christopher Marr, great niece, Amanda Marr and her dear friend, Thomas Sheehan of Cheshire. Dorothy was a US Navy veteran of WWII, retired SNET telephone operator with over 25 years of service and also served as union representative with C.U.T.W. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service with military honors on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 9 AM in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
