Mario Leites 90 of New Haven passed away peacefully on February 11, 2016. He was born May 26, 1925 in Ludlow, MA to Alberto and Maria (Coelho) Leite. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maria “Lucy” (Izidro) Leites and siblings, Afonso Leite, Antonio Leite, Elvira Pereira, Arminda Leites, Adelia Leites and Adelaide Leite. Mario is survived by his loving son, Albert Leites (June) of West Haven, daughter, Cynthia DaSilva (Agostinho) of New Haven and two grandchildren, Rick and David Leites. Mario is also survived by a brother, Manuel Leite (Marly) of New Haven and sisters, Belmira Amorim (Ilidio) of Hamden and Adelaide Barros (Mario) of Cheshire. Mario was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired employee of American Tube Bending in New Haven.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
