Obituary of Steven Dougherty

Steven Dougherty 60, lifelong resident of East Haven passed away January 31, 2016 at CT Hospice. He was born October 13, 1955 in New Haven to the late William and Jean (Mix) Dougherty. Steven is survived by his brother, Kenneth Dougherty (Kathy) of East Haven, nephew, Kyle Dougherty (Christina) and niece, Shannon Dougherty. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated East Haven High School in 1973 and then attended Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and Southern Connecticut State College graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for the Friendly’s Corp for many years and was a member of the Mayflower Society. Steven was active in the East Haven Historical Society and WWII Veteran’s Discussion Group. He was a self-taught historian. Steven was a member of Christ and the Epiphany Episcopal Church, East Haven. A private graveside service was held at Beaverdale Memorial Park in New Haven. All services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
