Stacia Ann Stewart 57, passed away on January 3, 2016 in Austin, Texas from a sudden illness. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 31, 1958 to Marie Theresa Tucker and Sylvester Dewey Purcell. She grew up in the greater New Haven, Connecticut area where she graduated from East Haven High School before recently moving to Austin, Texas. She is predeceased by her husband Edward Stewart who she married in June 1980. Stacey was a loving mother to her two sons Luke Stewart (Austin, TX) and Jason Stewart (New Haven, CT) and one daughter Jamie Lonergan (Hugo, OK). She was also the proud grandmother to four lovely grandchildren; three granddaughters, Adrianna Stewart, Lilly Lonergan and Mckalya Lonergan and a grandson, PJ Lonergan. She is survived by her three brothers Steven (Barbara) Purcell of Naples, FL, Keith (Joanne) Purcell of Chicopee, MA and Kevin (Christine) Purcell of Madison, CT. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dorothy Stewart and sisters-in-law, Connie Stewart, Janice Cicarelli and Patty Santomossimo and brothers-in-law, Ronald, Carlos and Larry Stewart and several nieces/nephews, Steven, Scott, Sean, Ryan, Kyle, Lucia, Marissa and Catlin Purcell. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30th, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven from 2:00 - 5:00pm with a brief memorial service at 2:30. Besides her family and friends Stacey had a deep affection for animals. Donations can be made to ASPCA in her memory.
