Daniel J. Magna Jr. 77 of East Haven passed away January 17, 2016 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born November 22, 1938 in New Haven to the late Daniel Sr. and Sylvia (Arone) Magna. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Teresa (Negri) Magna, son, Brian Magna (Kathleen) of Canton, CT and three grandchildren, Brian, Phoebe and Belle Magna. He is also survived by brothers, William Magna (Angela) of Guilford, Richard Magna (Lee-Ellen) of Guilford, sister, Joan Breuler of East Haven, brother-in-law, Daniel Negri (Companion, Joyce Streeto) and numerous nieces/nephews. Daniel was a long - time member of the Branford Elks Club as well as the Branford-East Haven Trolley Museum. He was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years in the engineering department. Over the years he enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as a great knowledge of antique cars. Family will receive friends prior to the mass from 9 – 10:15 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 10:20 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave. East Haven with Committal to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
