Dorothy Elliott, 83, of New Haven passed away January 6, 2016 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born May 18, 1932 in Hamden to Louis and Lilly (Tellaw) LaCosse. She is preceded in death by parents and siblings. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, John Elliott and her two daughters, Lily and Linda. Dorothy is also survived by step-children, John Elliott (Rose) of Milford, Margaret Rumbaugh (John) of PA, granddaughter, Megan Rumbaugh and three sister, Goldina LaCosse of N.Branford , Cindy Miller of Hamden and Mae Buryznski (Andrus) of West Haven.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 9:40 AM on Monday , January 11, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
