Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Evelyn Mary (Medas) Davis, 89 of East Haven passed away on December 17, 2015. She was born on December 19, 1925 in Tauton, MA, daughter of Albert & Emily (Ponte) Medas. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, husband Kenneth Davis Sr., son Manuel “Manny” Davis, sisters Kathleen Speranza, Isabelle Penny, Helen Bates, Jenny Hoffman and her brother Albert Medas, Jr. Evelyn is survived by four children; Rosemary (Robert) Smith of East Haven, Kenneth (Carole) Davis Jr. of New Haven, James Davis Sr. (widower of Shirley Davis) North Branford, and Albert (Karen) Davis of St.Pete Beach, FL., 8 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mom, we will miss your sweet face and your kind ways. Until we meet again, please hold a place for us in heaven. To you it will seem as if a moment has passed, to us it will feel like eternity. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 9:40 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Clare Church, 234 Coe Avenue. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
