Richard M. Dorman 77 of East Haven passed away on November 8, 2015. He was born December 5, 1937 in New Haven to Reginald and Cecelia (Callahan) Dorman. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Eileen VanValkenburg and brother, Harold Dorman. Richard is survived by his two nieces, Diane Pretak (Stephen III) of Torrington and Nancy DeSanti (Russell) of Torrington. He is also survived by his great nephews, Stephen Pretak IV, Gregory Pretak (Jessica), Michael Carr (Angela), great niece, Samantha Butler and many longtime dear friends.
Richie was retired from the Town of East Haven engineering dept. He loved doo-wop music and also was a avid fisherman, hunter and lure maker in his younger days. He was a member of the Elm City Gun Club.
Funeral services are private and in the care of Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven..
